Back From The Void
I was just at the opening of the 30th Annual Holocaust Education Week. Listened to surivor Pinchas Gutter and his chronicler Stephen D. Smith. Quite an extraordinary story, but one of thousands of other survivors. Pinchas said those six years in the Holocaust from age 7 until 13 took away his emotions for many years. Even today he often looks at the beauty that is life as if it was a void. He sees the flowers, but he cannot feel their beauty.
